Professional designations
The AIF® designation, awarded by Fi360, provides a comprehensive framework for fiduciary standards of excellence — covering asset allocation, investment policy statements, manager search and due diligence, and performance measurement. Candidates must complete a capstone course, pass a comprehensive examination, sign a code of ethics, and complete six hours of continuing education per year to maintain the designation. The AIF® is an ANSI-accredited credential and is widely regarded as the gold standard for fiduciary competency in the investment advisory profession.
The CEBS designation is awarded jointly by CEBS, Inc. and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania to individuals who complete a rigorous examination program covering retirement plans, group benefits, and compensation. The program — originally requiring ten examinations and now requiring five covering the same breadth of material — is among the most comprehensive credentials available in employee benefits and retirement plan management. CEBS designees must meet Precertification Standards and agree to abide by the program's Principles of Conduct.
Background & experience
Built for one purpose: serving clients well
Howard has spent his career at the intersection of institutional investment management and personal financial planning — a combination that is rare among independent registered advisers. As President, Managing Member, and Chief Investment Officer of Stolzer Rothschild Levy LLC, he oversees all investment decisions, financial plans, and client relationships personally.
Howard also serves as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer, reflecting the culture of accountability that runs through every aspect of SRL's practice. When you work with SRL, there is no intermediary — Howard reviews every portfolio, attends every plan committee meeting, and is accessible directly to every client.
The combination of his CEBS credential and AIF® designation makes Howard among the most comprehensively credentialed advisers serving the mid-New Jersey market for retirement plan consulting — a discipline that demands expertise in both investment management and the complex regulatory environment governing ERISA plans.
